Another full day of physical culture before heading off to North Devon tomorrow.

The morning started with 520 reps of Persian meels, working through various sets and combinations.

Then 90 minutes of pickleball: six wins from seven games, not a bad way to break up the day. πŸ˜„

The evening began on the decking with the Indian gada:

After 60 reps of 6kg single-arm combinations came a long, continuous set of 300 single arm reps with the 8kg gada, no stopping.

Then 40 more 6kg single-arm 360s followed by some double-arm 10-to-2s with the 8kg gada and, of course, Maddie had to get involved.

She lined herself up beautifully with the gadas for the photo, looking rather pleased with her position as

Chief Gada Inspector.🐈🀣

Into the dojo for five fast rounds of speed bag and double-end bag, with just 15 seconds between each. Everything felt particularly quick tonight, the rhythm was flying.

Then back out onto the decking for another long set of 300 reps of 5kg Persian meels and aΒ final 20 four-count meels brought the practice to a close.

And now the orange campervan is being loaded:

Meels? βœ”οΈ
Rope Flow? βœ”οΈ
Ginny’s Chen Style sword? βœ”οΈ
Everything ready for 4 days walking in North Devon? βœ”οΈ

The dojo is staying behind for a few days but physical culture is coming with us, as always.

The practice doesn’t need a gym, it just needs somewhere to move.

Tomorrow: North Devon. 🧑
